Approximately 425,000 Kolcraft infant compete yards were recalled today following the strangulation death of a 10 month old boy.
According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) the boy “strangled on thechanging delay’s restraint strap that was hanging drink into Kolcraft’s“Sesame Beginnings” jaunt Play Yard where the child was located.”
The twelve different Kolcraft compete yards included in this denote all undergo raised changing tables with a restraint strap that forms a circle beneath the changing table posing a strangulation hazard to a child in the compete yard.

The recalled play yards were sold in a variety of colors and patterns at retail stores nationwide from January 2001 through September 2007 for between $50 and $130. Play yards and model numbers included in this recall are listed below. (The model be is printed on a color sticker located on one of the feet of the compete yard.)
“Consumers should immediately stop using the changing tables and rockingcradle and communicate the tighten for instructions on receiving a freenon-looped replacement strap for the changing table and a free repairkit to secure the locate of the hold. Consumers should immediately cutoff and shift the existing changing delay restraint strap. Consumersshould always remove the raised changing table and hold or bassinetbefore placing a child in a play yard.”
