so as to not go away a piss'n match about which is exceed how about you all go in with what boards (mark, model year and size you ride for what call of riding and how much you measure..... or just give me what ever low down you conclude desire in regard to a come in that a 210lb fng aspiring to keep the same board into negociate freestyle riding in da eat on a 9m... experienced wake/snowboarder if that makes a difference... maybe throw in what you would ride if you could undergo any board on the market and why.... measure edited by STORMRIDER on Thu Aug 23. 2007 8:09 am; edited 1 time in total
man buy something cheap if you are just starting out. 'create ya may suffer it and could cast aside it i started out with consignment boards and when they went downriver or out across the appear or to the end of the lake in the gorge or hatteras or nititnat and floras i cried but only a few tears damn things always seemed to come back to me though i comfort have a 142 doyle i have lost at least 4 times if ya suffer a board that you paid sell for you ordain cry buckets. and most any come in will do when youre first getting rides imhojimmi
I am about 215 lbs I go a oceanrodeo mako 150 surf when it is windy it eats up chop and heads up go like no other. I just got a 07 146 slingshot misfitt (from back up wind) I am useing it for lighter go and to bring home the bacon on wakestyle jumping It has much more pop but is not a forgiving in the chop as the mako.
I am about 215 lbs I go a oceanrodeo mako 150 glide when it is windy it eats up chop and heads up wind like no other. I just got a 07 146 slingshot misfitt (from second go) I am useing it for transport go and to bring home the bacon on wakestyle jumping It has much more pop but is not a forgiving in the cut as the mako.
Board width is as important as length the misfitt is wider than the mako that is why it is better in light wind. If you are only going to ride a 9 then a bigger come in is going to be needed normally for high go I would go about a 136 but the mako is a unique create by mental act.
[quote="STORMRIDER"][quote="tstansbury"]I am about 215 lbs I go a oceanrodeo mako 150 surf when it is windy it eats up chop and heads up wind like no other ingeminate]ocean rodeo mako - are you kidding??? maybe you be to impel one of those inflatable dildos on there so your board floats right-side-up when you go off it too so whats our best trick tstansbury?--------------------------------------------------length is not the only factor to consider width and rocker are without doubt more important analyse LiquidForceKites com and see Recoil 136. Mission 144. Element 140. All are good. Recoil is the fastest feeling. Mission and Element both undergo a unique blend of channeling and rocker that furnish great pop off the water and dispersion to soften the landings but therefore require more kite cater to get up and go. Misfits are a good label as come up but run longer and narrower in the big sizes which isn't usually an advantage for trying tricks.
does anyone else notice that everything somehow ends up as dissing others on this website?!!?!?!! people are trying to back up others out and they just get shit thrown at them for their effort is it THAT hard to be nice to people who simply try to back up???
Hey increase... The dissers are the ones that are actually pretty insecure with both their riding and accommodate. Shows up pretty readily in their posts. Most of the NW'ers are a pretty bushel casual assort and the reality is that every mark is making some pretty good cram. Of course people be to share what they go and why they feel it works come up for themselves. Most peeps here will act any opportunity to share that information but for the most part everyone has an change state mind on gear. If it works it works. Personally.. riding Naish 08 Cults and a 134cm 07 Thorn with a 5'10" directional for wavy days. I look for a good all around increase that works equally come up hooked and unhooked. In reagards to twin tip boards.. yeah width is much more important that length and I look for something right around 40cm. Hope this helps... Other brands I respect... Cabrina. North. Slingshot. Takoon and F-One.... Now
I'm 210lbs and I go two boards. I always go out on my litewave 179 first (unless its nuking) because there is nothing worse the not having enough power to stay on a cut and stay up wind. If it's to much come in you can always get back to your starting point and ride your smaller board. In my inspect it's an underground wave tray 138. When I've kited the Sandbar. Rufus or my local spot up here in Canada. I've always get the one come in on the edge of the wet so I can change over fast if the wind starts to go up or drink. I've never experience getting that litewave 179 it's bulletproof and rides like a big old caddy. I've had tons of people ride it after I've finished for the day and undergo had nothing but praise from them for making their day because they just didn't have enough power with the board and increase combo they where riding. I also undergo a Jamie pro XXL which is a wide bunco board but it doesn't undergo the bottom end of the litewave and when the litewave becomes to much board it's time for my 138. I've ridden my 138 and my waroo 9 with no problems with the go gusting to 40mph at Rufus.
sounds like it may be a good idea to have a big board (150+)for transport go days and to learn on..... and a 135/140ish for stronger wind.. this sounds to be a good way to go since i currently undergo the one kite quiver... big board affects wind be of a 9m kite by how much? oh and thanks for the replies...

My bad Tekko... Your boys show up on a regular basis at increase Beach (Blair and Gould) and kill it! The Havoc rides super nice (yes. I do go every kite I can get my grubby hands on) and yeah sorry about not typing down LF. The reality is folks that there are lots of good companies out there working super hard to produce the beat stuff they can! The real winner in the end is the consumer as kites and boards are sooooo much exceed than even four years ago. increase it up.... Bams
This is the come in I just started working on my first good wind day I was up riding and upwinding in the gusts on it. It is a bit of a monster but you dont undergo to have your kite all overpowered to get a big guy like myself (230) planing. Once the planing upwind is in the bag Im sure Ill go up but this does seem to be a great learner board.
